OBSERVED:    I recently found your site, and after reading other folk's experiences, I decided to share ours...back in 1976, my husband and I rented a small mobile home near Lafayette Indiana...off a highway, on a gravel road about a mile or so back.  There were very few homes there, at that time, and it was wooded, with a marshy field  behind us. This place is where I developed a love of walking alone in the woods.  It was beautiful, real quiet and peaceful...we were dirt poor, and all we had was a few clothes, an old car, and a big Husky dog. Her name was Bisquit, and she weighed almost 110 pounds. She went with me in the woods, and wasn't afraid of anything. But one night, around 11 p.m.-we were just coming inside from doing something, maybe bringing clothes in off the line, or something, and Bisquit stopped in front of me and looked over toward the marsh and started growling real low, and long...and the hair along her neck and back raised...it scared us, seeing her act like that...we froze, and looked that way, and in the moonlight, we saw a tall shape, maybe 9 or so feet high, standing there. We paniced, and darted as fast as we could into the door of our trailer, and our dog, almost knocked me over beating me into the house, and she was Not a housedog!   We looked out the window, and it was walking away, just a shape, no details, unfortuneately.  But we sat up til dawn, with a loaded shotgun ready...in the morning we went and looked and in the watery tall grass, the were indentations, where it had gone....I wish we had had equipment, like night vision binoculars, or something, or a camera...and like others, who have seen something, we sometimes get "looks" from certain people, if we talk about it...so, it is nice to be able to write about this, even tho it's so long ago...I still walk, day and night, and I have never seen anything, since...wish I could, but now I'm 51 years old, and have bad knees, so I wouldn't be able to run!  I should carry a camera, just in case...
