OBSERVED:    Me and a friend were driving around in the hills outside of boise, we started heading into the tree line where the woods or forest started getting deeper. we found one road we decided to drive in on and it came to an end. saw a few trails lead further into the woods. so we stopped for a minute. my buddy was the one driving he had the look on his face like he heard something so i asked him what was up. he said he heard like a wood on wood knocking. then he said he heard it again. so he turn off the truck. we waited a minute that's when i heard it. it sounded like it was off in the distanced. but pretty loud and strong to loud to be a bird pecking on wood. we were the only ones out there there was no sign of anyone it was 130 in the morning we never saw a car or anything. i told my buddy i can think of only one thing it could be. it sounded like a piece of wood being hit against a tree. but the weird thing was there was no sounds of nothing no birds no crickets no owls nothing.

Other Notes:    I just wanted to add unless a bear or a deer or any other animal can pick up a piece of wood with it's paws which they can't and hit it against a tree. it was only one thing only. there was not a soul out there.
