LOCATION:  Cedartown, Ga., Polk County U.S.

TERRAIN:  Wooded, very hilly, hardwoods and pines.
 

OBSERVED:  Myself and my dad heard something walking through the woods  on two legs.  What was strange about it was that it started coming  towards us and was getting pretty close when we decided to leave.

I  have hunted all my life and have heard animals on four feet as well as  two feet walking through the woods.  Examples are turkey and deer.  They sound totally different.  I am skeptical and don't believe it was a  bigfoot and that's because I have never seen one so I'm a skeptic.  Plus  I've never seen any proof for myself that I have seen with my own eyes.

The reason we didn't stay to see what it was is because we only had our  truck lights to see with, didn't have a gun, it was approaching us from  the side of the vehicle so the headlights were useless, and it was approaching us so that meant it wasn't scared of us.  We were riding the dirt roads trying to locate a turkey on roost because the next morning we were anticipating on going turkey hunting.  We would ride a short distance and get out and blow the owl hooter and wait to see if we would get a turkey to gobble back.  What also was interesting was whatever it was when we first heard it it was walking the ridge parallel to the one we were parked on after getting directly beside us it turned and began coming toward us.  It walked down the ridge to the bottom then started walking up the ridge we were on.  Maybe it was someone just walking through the woods but they were crazy for walking to us not knowing who we were.  I rule that out also because it was too dark for someone to walk through the woods without some kind of light.  It didn't
stumble a time or act if it was having a problem walking in the dark.  I know this isn't much to go on but it beats nothing.

Other Notes:  Only additional information is that my grandfather use to tell about wildman being in that area.  What he meant by wildman I don't know.  I was a kid when he told it so I took him literally.  Maybe my grandfather was just having some fun with his grandson.  I read to where other people describe it as a wildman so that's what made me think maybe it was what some are calling a bigfoot.

It's not a very populated area.  I think the timber company that owns the property owns a few thousand acres so
other than hunters there isn't much to push it out.  If that's what it was.
