LOCATION:   Floyd County, Georgia
 

TERRAIN:   Wooded, hilly, some mountains
 

OBSERVED:      I came home from work at about 1 am, and I asked my husband why the shot gun
was out from the cabinet that we keep it in. He said we herd a strange noise, our oldest daughter who
is 14 started yelling for me, and I went into the living room, and the noise was right in front of the window where the window air conditioning is, he told me it didn't sound like a dog, but it was deeper, more like a low growl, with mumbling sounds, as if it where trying to talk but didn't know how to get the words out, the way chimps do or monkeys, my daughter said it sounded like a man, but wasn't. she said only one of our two dogs barked the other stayed in the dog house, and when my husband starting talking it got quite, my daughter said that before she called my husband, she could here something walking around out side it sounded like a person.

Activities of Witness:  Two of our children where asleep, our oldest was watching T.V. My husband was on the computer in our bedroom.

Description of Creature:      N/A

Other Notes:      Our cat arched its back looking towards the window where the noise was coming from.   Also our dogs growling towards the woods, also  every friday night my husband would here
something walking in the woods, he use to think it was someone spying on us, but know after
hearing the strange animal noises he thinks that that could had been big foot. I am not
kidding, I have children and I have lived in this place for 3 years, have herd noises in the
distance, but never had it ever been this close.

Additional Notes or Comments: Our neighbors who live up the hill said that when they went for a hike on the paths around their house they saw something tall dark, and hairy looking at them from behind
the trees. it didn't bother them, just watching. And some times late at night if I'm watching
T.V.. I can here loud howling noises, mixed with screeches, and one summer when we had a corn
garden, we went out side and noticed that half of our crop was bent down as if some thing
heavy had bent it, just one side of the crop.

Additional Field Research Notes from Rick Stone and Charlie Tumblin: Charlie and I investigated this report on Sun. 4-06-03. We met with  the person who submited the report, for several hours. They seemed honest and sincere. We didn't find any new evidence . There were several 'x' formations, bowed trees and snaps about 300-400 yards to the North and Northwest of the residense but all were old and could be attributed to most anything. The neighbors that were refered to in the report who actually saw a creature have since moved so we were unable to interview them. We are planning a follow up trip and we'll inform you about any new developments.
