REPORT RECEIVED: From the Personal Field Notes of John Butler III.

DATE:  March 26, 2000

TIME:  4:30 pm

LOCATION:    Georgia, Confidential Location due to ongoing investigations.

TERRAIN:  Wooded

OBSERVED:   My wife, 2 kids and I went to (area undisclosed due to ongoing activity)   I decided to go there to look around, as 2 weeks earlier I  found numerous stick and limb markers similar to what I have found in other areas of Georgia with comparable space and terrain.  As we commenced to walking on the trails, and upon close examination of some of the areas in the bush off to the side, we quickly concluded that what we found were territorial tree, stick, and limb markers as commonly found in other areas of  the South, namely Tennessee, Georgia, and NW Louisiana.  About 1 mile or 2 down the trail, we heard what could only be described as a long (whoooop!!!) with a long ending that reverberated off the surrounding hillside (it seemed to be about 1 mile away or so).  My wife and I looked at each other and wondered what it was.  Although there was plenty of barbecueing and what not on certain other areas of this same park, we quickly left the area with the
kids.  Actually, upon hearing the sound, we had an immediate knowledge as to what it possibly was, as we have heard this same sound a few times on some of the other websites.

Next week, upon further investigation and questioning of some of the locals, they reported that there has been instances for many years of "Bobcats" screaming out loud in the middle of the night, making a loud reverberating sound to each other, even sounding off in a distant cowpasture some 2 miles away.  Upon querying one of the park rangers about "bobcats", he did mention that there were some "hiding" out on some of the areas of the approximately 500 acres of the 1,000 acre state park that is unopened to the public.  He
concluded by commenting that they are just as afraid of us as we are of them, and that they had a free run of the place after dark, as it is just like a ghost town at night.  The most amazing thing about this possible encounter,  is the close proximity of the suspected creatures to the city, which is for the most part very characteristic of most Southern Bigfoot encounters.

Description of Creature:   N/A

Activities of Witness:  Hiking and searching area for Bigfoot sign.
