GCBRO Field Researcher Followup
report posted at the bottom of this report.
DATE:
October 2001-March 2003
TIME:
late evening/early morning
LOCATION:
Cherokee County, Georgia
TERRAIN:
A thick wooded area between houses.
OBSERVED: Back in October of 2001 my mother and father were standing on their back porch. As they did several calls came out of the woods behind their house. Later I went to a site that featured Bigfoot sounds and played it for them. Upon hearing the sounds both of my folks confirmed beyond question that they were the same calls.
In March I was also standing on the same back porch when I heard a call come from the woods. Although the call was different then the one played for my folks it was exactly what I heard, once again, on a Bigfoot web site. I heard the call for sometime but was prevented from going into the woods to investigate the source. It eventually stopped.
I went inside the house for
sometime and then went back out to hear if the call had returned. It hadn't,
but, there was an awful odor that filled the air. Now, I have spent some
time outside, more than the average person, and I can say that I have never
heard any calls or smelled anything like I did that day.
Activities of Witness:
My folks were eating dinner. I was hanging around the house before work.

Posted below are
GCBRO Field Researchers Rick Stone and Charlie
Tumblin's follow up findings on this report.
I investigated this report on Sun. 6-22-03. The young man and his family who filed the report is of impeccable character. They live in a fairly new subdivision of approx. 400-500 homes. The area around the subdivision is wooded and still pretty rural as is much of Cherokee Co.
We searched the area from the SE
to the SW of the subdivision. We found several bowed trees , fresh breaks
and an old tee pee on the Eastern---South Eastern side which is the directions
that the
vocalizations came from. There
were also some very old breaks in the same area. One old print was found
in this area but was too old to determine if it was man or ape. I suspect
that this is an old territory
before the houses were built and
it pays them a visit periodically.
There seemed to be territorial markings ranging from old to new on this side of the subdivision but w/o seeing what actually did the damage I can't say for sure.
They are going to let me know if anything new develops.
