Report
Received From: The GCBRO Online
Report Submission Form.
DATE:
November 20, 2004
TIME:
7:30 am
LOCATION:
Lee County, Florida
TERRAIN:
Thick wood lots scattered across cleared fields, lots of river bottoms,
cypress swamps, bayheads, hammocks and wet prairies
OBSERVED:
I was at my friends property. I also work as a supervisor for his company.
Anyway, I was at the back of the shop getting materials ready for the days
work. I heard what sounded like and owl, so I stood and turned in the general
direction where the sound originated hoping to catch a glimpse. A few seconds
later I was startled to hear the two vocalizations. My first reactions
was of complete shock. It then
occurred to me that I was hearing what might have been the very thing I
had been hoping to see since I was a child in Alabama.
I've been a member of the GCBRO for a couple years and have spent several fruitless days out near Corkscrew Swamp around Little Corkscrew Island. Lots of Alligators, Wild Pigs, various water birds but no Bigfoot activity I could discern.
This particular area is adjacent
to the Everglades, with thick wood lots scattered across cleared fields,
lots of river bottoms, cypress swamps, bayheads, hammocks and wet prairies
in and around this area too. You could hide a small army with little trouble.
Activities of Witness:
Working
Description of Creature:
Never saw any creature. Two very distinct hoots like the one on the
Sierra recordings.
Other Notes: Every dog within a half mile starting frenzied barking. There were some cows in the field behind the shop. The older cows never flinched when the vocalizations occurred, however several of the calves sort of freaked out.
