LOCATION:  Lithia Springs, Florida, Hillsborough County

OBSERVED:   My husband and I went camping out to Lithea Springs Park, but we didn't get back to the campsite till about 1:00 A.M.  We went to a friend's house.  That is why we got back late.  I went into the tent to lay down and my husband stayed in the car to listen to a song that was on the radio he liked.  So I went in and layed down.  It was quiet.  We were the only campers out there that nite.  It was during the week.

I heard a not loud, but strong thumping, like someone walking down from the back part of the tent, but I was thinking that this was BIG because every time it took a step the ground like shook.  I could tell it was big.  I was scared and I just layed there.  I didn't move.  It walked all the way up to the back of the tent.  I was crying by this time, so scared.  I could hear it breathing.  The only thing separating us was the tent.

I had to get my husband's attention, so I crawled to the door of the tent and started flashing a lite I had at him.  He saw my lite.  He got out of the car.  When he opened the door of the car, the music was loud so I started yelling and running at him.  He was like freaking out, saying what is wrong with you.

I was trying to tell him about it.  I was in shock I guess, and all I could say was back of tent, over and over.  He said what is at the back of the tent?  At that time it came out from the back of the tent and started walking fast.  My husband heard it and said what is it?  My husband then pushed me in the car and got a spot lite he had in the car and pointed it at the thing, yelling who is there!  I got out at that time and stood by him.  I wanted to see what this thing was.  It was big and tall.  We could see the tops of the trees moving about 7 to 8 feet tall.  It was dark out and we were all by ourselves.  We heard it stop and then start walking faster.

My husband said to get in the car and we got out of there.  We left everything there and went to a motel that nite.  We went back the next day to get our stuff and to talk to the Park Ranger.  They looked at us like we were crazy and blew it off!

There was something out there that nite.  I saw it.  My husband saw it.  It was big and walked heavy and was about 7 to 8 feet tall.  Just to say, we never went back to camp at that park.
