LOCATION: Dillon, Colorado, Summit County
 
 

TERRAIN:  Mountains
 
 

OBSERVED:    I went on a hike for 3 hrs with four family members. We split up halfway through I was there alone when I saw a large free standing hairy and what looked to be a gorilla but when I looked again it kind of looked like a bear. It scared me so I started running and screaming when I looked behind me to see if it was gone, it wasn't.   It was about 100 yards from me.   It had a face like a human and it was like 7'0" tall maybe even taller. It was pushing the trees that were small over and it was making a weird like mating call towards me. I just kept on running and I no longer saw it again.

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):  I was hiking with four family members and we split up and I was collecting firewood for the campsite.
 

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:  Tall 7'0" maybe even taller.  Dark fur or hair.  Face like a human, looked like a Gorilla. Weird mating call if it was a mating call. Not for me anyways.
 

OTHER NOTES:  Later that night at the camp site I heard that creature or animal making that same sound over and over again.
