DATE:

TIME:
7:30 PM
LOCATION:
Santa Cruz County, California
TERRAIN:
Wooded area near a beach
OBSERVED:
My son XXXXX and I were sitting in our backyard which is very big (about
3 square acres of our extra owned land) wooded area. Suddenly we
heard a sound that sounded like a four legged animal running in the neighbors
yard. My son ran inside and got a flashlight quickly, he came back out.
We couldn't hear anything so we waited and in about 2 minutes we heard
it again, but this time coming from our yard. I quickly took a rake near
by and ran to see what it was, i shined the flashlight but couldn't see
anything so i turned out the flash light set it down on the ground and
quietly waited. I then saw the silhouette of an almost seven foot tall
animal standing on two legs with a posture almost human but not as slender
of a body. I quickly shined the light on it, it was about 10yds away, it
was very hairy like a cross between a gorilla and a full grown man and
it was running away on two legs i just ran to my son who was now in tears,
I grabbed him and took him in the house and locked the door. He was telling
me that somehow he had witnessed the same thing. I then called the
police but they didn't believe me. We went back out there the next
day and found no traces to what had happened
