TERRAIN: Wooded
OBSERVED:
My wife Cheryl and I while camping, heard grunting outside of our tent
and some rustling with our food cooler. We discovered it torn open and
two packages of hot dogs stolen and the rest just dumped out.
Some
footmarks found around the camp fire but just "shuffle" movements, not
definite foot prints.
There
was a lot of grunting and rustling. We were awoken by the noise and
it was dark.
My
wife wouldn't let me look outside in case it was a bear. Being novice
campers we certainly didn't have a gun. (Not that all campers bring a gun!)
After
about 15 minutes that we were awake, we heard nothing but we stayed up
the rest of the night.
I
made the above mentioned observations at 6:30am.
