LOCATION:
Franklin County, Alabama
TERRAIN:
Wooded
OBSERVED:
I was hunting deer and it was a very cold afternoon ,i was 30' up a tree
in a climbing stand.when i heard something
jump across the creek that i was
next to,it was big enough that i thought it was a cow when it jumped
the creek .i then heard it breathing when
it was still a good 75' away from my stand site.the brush along the creek
was to thick to get a good look at what it was but i could see patches
of hair around what i would guess was its side just above its hips and
a couple of times as it moved off i could see parts of its back and legs
.it moved very quietly and the only sounds i heard other then it jumping
the creek and breathing where limbs breaking as it moved away . the next
day me and my hunting partener went to look for tracks and found some that
where 18" long but you could not see toes or any other features because
of the mud.
Activities of Witness:
Hunting in a tree stand for deer
Description of Creature:
Brown matted hair ,estimate about 7'-8' very wide across the back it was
big enough that i would not of shot it with the 7-mag i was hunting with.
Other Notes: We had found dead dear that where tore apart but always thought that it was coyotes or wild dogs , and many times hunting about 2 miles from the spot i saw it in a swamp i would smell something that would gag you, may not be from bigfoot but it did have a skunk rotting meat smell.
We camped behind a grave yard on
this land and many times at night we would hear things while sitting around
the camp fire may have been anything who knows?
